Mahmoud Gilany, PhDMahmoud is a university professor at Cairo University, Egypt and an electrical engineer with extensive experience in supervising major electrical projects. He is also a member of several official technical committees, concerning electrical matters in Egypt. He has published several books and trained more than 1,000 training hours in several fields, including solar system design, renewable energy and innovative solutions. Mahmoud was appointed as the first principal in several research projects, including a project researching the cost reduction of solar projects. Mahmoud’s vast experience shall aid Clenergy MENA in the areas of solar system design and innovation solutions. |

Omar Gamel, PhDOmar is currently a Postdoctoral fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California, Berkeley. He obtained his PhD of Physics from the University of Toronto, Canada with a specialization in theoretical quantum optics. He has authored several scientific papers in reputable journals about the physical properties of light, its polarization and energy, as well as the burgeoning field of quantum computing. His research has earned him multiple scholarships from Canada’s top scientific government agencies. Omar also holds a Bachelor’s of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition to extensive experience in academia, his business experience includes working in a technology start up, project management and is currently chairman of the board of a Toronto non-profit. |

Ahmed M. Gabr, PhDAhmed received his B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from Alexandra University, Egypt & M.A.Sc degree in Electronics from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada & Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Canada. His research focuses on pursuing innovative paths towards 3rd generation solar cells. He is a member of the SUNLAB, University of Ottawa and the Photovoltaic Innovation Network supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council where he is working on modeling and simulating up- and down-conversion processes in collaboration with McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. Ahmed’s experience aids Clenergy MENA in the areas of solar cells efficiency and applications. |

Mahmoud Gomaa Ibrahim, MFINMahmoud serves as Clenergy MENA's senior financial advisor. He has 15 years of experience in financial services, focusing on investment banking and private investments. He directed USD 1.2 bn M&A transactions (both buy and sell sides) with exposure to several sectors and managed a USD 1 bn distressed asset portfolio for a leading bank. Mahmoud also led the management of a USD 1.5 bn liquidation fund which includes assets located in MENA, [Sub-saharan] Africa, Asia and Europe and participated in the management of a private equity fund. Mahmoud's experience includes representation on the boards of directors of four listed and private companies. He holds a Masters of Finance degree from Queen's University, Canada and is a CFA level II candidate. |
